11 Tips for Parenting Teens

  • What was that argument about?
  • Does my teen even like me?
  • Did my parents struggle like this?
  • How can I support my teen when I can’t relate?

Welcome to teenage parenting.  A world of cell phones, ipods, internet, and weird music.  We have all found ourselves wondering if it was this bad when we were teens. This is natural and normal.  Our kids will do the same when they become parents.  As today’s parents we have different dilemmas to negotiate, no better or worse than what our parents dealt with, just different.  In today’s culture, without an understanding of our teens, parent-teen relationships can get out of control.  We know that healthy parent-teen relationships make for fewer problems down the road.

During this keynote Jeff King, LSCSW, will give you 11 specific strategies to enhance your relationship with your teen and reduce the potential for negative acting out.
