The Compassionate Classroom
Overview
In this 1-day seminar you will learn a model for recognizing each students’ positive and negative survival strategies and practice innovative methods to turn negative drama into positive community. Teachers who apply these methods can experience increased student engagement, more energy for teaching, and fewer behavioral problems.

Learning Objectives
- Explain Karpman’s drama and compassion triangles.
- Describe negative drama roles and behaviors that occur in the classroom.
- Describe positive compassion roles and behaviors in the classroom.
- Explain three methods to redirect negative drama into positive community in the classroom.
Cancellation Policy: To receive a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee, cancellations must be received three weeks prior to the program start date. Cancellations made fewer than three weeks in advance, or after a PCM profile has been ordered, are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be given once a course has started. Next Element reserves the right to cancel a course if less than the minimum number of participants enroll. Full refunds will be made should such cancellation be required.
