“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not
giving it.” – William Arthur Ward
PCM NUGGET
Put on your oxygen mask before you help the person next to you. Take the
speck out of your own eye before you attempt to take the log out of your
neighbor’s eye. Self-care is about filling our own tanks in healthy ways so
that we are fully available to serve others. In PCM, this means getting
our psychological needs met on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Doing
this allows our elevator to move more freely so we can experience the
wonderful gifts in other floors in our condominium as well as appreciate
those gifts in other people. This season, reach out to others…and reach
in to take care of yourself. -NGR
NE CORNER
As a parent or spouse have you ever been dead-dog-tired at the end of the day, worn-out to the point that all you want to do is sleep? Some studies suggest that when you fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow, it’s likely that you are sleep deprived. If this sounds familiar, I encourage you to take care of you and be self-ful.
To meet the responsibilities and obligations of each day takes energy, and to have energy your body requires adequate rest. I can hear some of you already, “I do not have time to take care of me – I have a family!” I would like to challenge that myth. To be the best parent, the best spouse, the best you – you must first take care of yourself.
Tip of the month – allow yourself be self-ful. Re-examine your daily “to-do list” and find one small thing that can be removed or postponed. Go to bed a little earlier, or sleep in a little later. Indulge in an afternoon nap! You will discover, even an extra 15 minutes to rest your mind and relax your soul will go a long way to energize you and make you a better you, for yourself, and for those you love. Sweet dreams! -JK
“There are a lot of personality tests and I’ve done them all. This
(PCM) is the most accurate, comprehensive, and useable model available.” -

WHITE PAPER
Prepare for the Future, Invest in Your People. Nearly every sector and
organization has been affected in some way by the current economic crisis.
Difficult decisions must be made to stay in business and remain fiscally
viable. Most difficult are the decisions that affect people’s lives, such
as layoffs – particularly when the decisions aren’t about the person or
their performance, but rather about the hard financial realities. Yet
within this current crisis there is unique opportunity to strengthen your
organization. – NGR
