A TIME TO CELEBRATE
We will be enjoying our one year anniversary on Oct. 13.  We are celebrating all of the the big and small steps we have taken over the last year.  It is amazing how the cool weather, football season, kids back in school, are all little reminders of where we were one year ago.  I can remember feeling excited to start a new career, scared of the unknown, grateful for my supporters and my Next Element partners and sad knowing I will miss some of my friends and previous co-workers.

So here we are one year later, grateful for where we have been, focused and intentional in the present, excited and open to our future!  A special thank you to all that have been  part of this journey with us!  – JR

GOT TRUST?
Within teams and organizations, we define trust as having two components. First, being able to predict another’s behavior so that we aren’t unpleasantly surprised by something they say or do. Second is the confidence that who I am (my ideas, feelings, opinions) is OK and will not be used against me or dismissed. Using the Process Communication Model, we are able to teach specific skills, tools, and formulas for building trust through increased safety and predictability of positive behaviors. In addition, we coach leaders on how to take the first step in building trust by connecting with others on their terms.

HOT WING UPDATE
So the big debate right now in the office is deep fried, baked, grilled or a combination?  Cayenne, or habanero for the heat factor?  So many variables, so many psychological needs to be addressed.  I’m voting deep fried (duh!), dipped into a slightly sweet, lip-stinging sauce, then grilled, not quite so messy that way.  Share your favorite recipe, we’d love to share it in our e-news! – ME
